LEUKEMIA

Facing leukemia was a profound journey. For 15 weeks, I was isolated in the hospital, connected to a computer via a tube, battling side effects. Despite the horror, I’m grateful it kept me alive. During this time, drawing became my beacon of light, centering my mind and uplifting my spirit. Art was my secret island, sustaining my mental health and strengthening my body. I felt like a machine solving technical problems, while my soul was a giant kraken. This experience deepened my passion for graphic and fantasy worlds, fueling my resilience.

ipad drawing, i choose to draw a complex picture in hope it would keep me alive until its finished, it took me 2 weeks to finish this, its a digital drawing made on the ipad, i was not allowed to have real pens and color because of the danger of infection and injuries that could complicate the medical treatment
